Instrument Rating (CB-IR)

We offer a competenacy based (CB-IR) course for both Single Engine (SE) and Multi Engine (ME) instrument ratings. The CB-IR course means that we may be able to credit a significant amount (30 hours) of prior instrument flight time.

PRE-REQUISITES

The following requirements are required to enroll and commence training for this course:
PPL(A) or CPL(A)
An aircraft pilot licence with a valid night rating is required
50 Hours
Cross country PIC experience with at least 10 hours on aircraft
Theory Exams
You will need to have passed the applicable ATPL/CPL/IR theory exams
Class 1/2 Medical
Valid Class 1 or Class 2 (with Audiogram) Medical

Pricing

Depending on your previous instrument experience, you may be able to credit hours towards the course and significantly reduce the cost. For both a single and multi engine CB-IR, 30 hours can be credited. More finite information on our aircraft pricing can be found at the pricing page.
