PRE-REQUISITES

You'll need the following to enrol and commence training on this course:
18 Years
Minimum age required for licence issue
150 Total Hours
With at least 100 hours PIC and 20 hours cross country experience including a 300nm cross country flight
Class 1 Medical
Valid Class 1 Medical before your skills test
ATPL/CPL Exams
Passed the ATPL/CPL theoretical knowledge exams

Course Structure

The course combines 25 hours of flight training with 6 hours of ground school, developing your flying from private to commercial standards and finishing with a skills test flown with a CAA examiner.
Advanced Handling
Precision flying, advanced general handling and emergency procedures flown to commercial tolerances
Navigation
Cross-country and low-level navigation, diversions and operating into unfamiliar aerodromes
Multi-Engine
Multi-engine operations in the Diamond DA42, including asymmetric flight and instrument appreciation
Skills Test
A final skills test with a CAA examiner covering the full commercial syllabus

A CPL qualifies you for paid flying work such as flight instruction, aerial survey and charter operations. For most pilots it is also a core stage on the route to the airlines, alongside the Multi Engine Instrument Rating and APS MCC.
